  as a witness, i knew several men who attempted to grow beards.

  when they did, and attended meetings, it did not take long to be talked to by elders and told, "as spiritual men, they should not display an outward form of rebellion.

  I once read the book by William Schnell, 30 years a slave of the WT. There this guy who was German, grew up in US and came back in 1914 to the Reich and had to stay there because of war and German nativity while his father was officer in the Kaisers army told that Balzereit had a Russell fbeard.

  Then the great judge came and Balzereit the WT officer for the Reich demanded some investments. Rutherford explained something aginst beards and Balzereit left the raoom and came back some minutes later with a baby face - totally shaved and got his demands realized.

  Rutherford surely did not like Russell too much and got problems with the directors after publishing the 7th part of the studies ( revelation book).

  So the guys left him alone called themselve also "Biblestudents" and were his competitors.

  Rutherford made a new marketing-concept: new contents of teachings - no holidays, birthdays and such stuff, a new name - JWs - and no facial hair.

  Those guys in the Bethel-bathrooms have erased in their minds that the occident culture always was using beard and no beard at the same time. You find goaty, moustache and full beard at any time in history parallel.

  They tried to eliminate it in ther "new world society" and in the 70ies they caused the leave of ten thousands of men in young ages. at the end of the eighties they started to permit moustaches. but until today no brother with more facial hair will have privleges on congresses. They leave the decision on local level into gthe hands of the body of elders. Some keep it liberal but many put on iron claws and devate young men in their development to be MS or more.

  It is nothaning else than a satanic ideology that is kept by men with concrete heads who thrown down the grand ma the stairways and ask whe she runs so fast.

  Their court will be a very hard one but in righteosness, those men make their law like the law of god. They spoil the god given opportunities to develope an own personality. their story in the early 70ies of student tricks - example of one guy with full facial hair who was rejected at the door went on global level,. Today I think it was an invention, a lie like the library card.

  just reading through the january 1st w.t 2006. the first study article (starting on page 20) "how firm is your trust in god?

  " has another dig at higher education.. paragraph 7.

  "anyone who does not trust firmly in jehovah might think differently.the majority of humans view material wealth as a major key to security.hence, parents have encouraged their offspring to invest much of their young adulthood in higher education, hoping that it will prepare them for well-paying careers.sadly some christian families have found the cost of such an investment to be very high, as their children have lost spiritual focus and turned to pursuing materialistic goals".

  The Leader witnesses should ask themselves, who pays for their existence. Still it is the generation that has property, income and pension.

  the new coming ones must earn this all - by studying and qualifying to be competitive.

  You can be a materialist also as beggar, it is not the question of having but the question of desire.

  I reject this donkey's shit what they teach in education. The ivory tower should not forget htat the dead fish first starts stinking by its head.

  The WT is gonna dying - their bedfellowship with the UN they may subdue but they cant make it not happend. And so like Manasseh once sacrificed his children to the firegod, the WTS sacrificed their believers to the satanic creation.

  Manasseh's acting led to destruction and slavery. Those important wordtwisters in the ivory tower can read already their mene tekel.

  Shaping the past does not form the future, hiding facts leads to doubts by the people. the internet is a presnet revelation of their hidden sins.

  shame on you blind leaders you are and stop hitting the brotherhood. do repent in sack and ashes and not in great words that hit the road away from the spiritual quickie.

  I am too one who was forbidden to obtain a higher school graduate because of 1975. I remember how the elders spoke: do you want to become king on a sinking ship?

  Finally I studied later and made my diploma in economics what helps me today to gain income. The poor suggestions in the WT to learn plumber or hairdresser is a fake. hairdressers earn never enough money to suppport their family with enough to live, even a pioneer who works in a half time job would not earn enough to pay for his flat and living.

  Those men in the writing department are people who have everyday their food on the tabel, having their dresses made and living in a golden cage.

  I reject their ideas to leave the children in simple education and I reject the behavior of the COs. I remember some years ago the CO came and taleke about an old brother who is teacher. he wondered that this brother became an elder.

  In the discussion with friends and familiy members we come to the conclusion that a single JW , a dub, is like a pelican: open up the beak and eat up all the junk food they provide you with.

  A slave who slaves his own desires is a bad slave. A slave who makes people poor by gaining them bad conscience in education is a slave who should be buried in a forbidden book and disappear in a hidden library.

  Their arrogance in being fit to teach us what we should or not is topped by their self understanding to pay obedience to god by being obedient to the slave who has to bind up his trousers that he does not leave to much shit in the world.

  A cult starts in defining behaviors.

  I only want to say that I am convinced that the break down of this ivory castle will take place with a great crash. Watchtower is slain by education that works effective.

  hello Burden, this book was in use during the 50ies and sixties. We in Germany got a new one - in pink or violett - in sprinig 69 to learn already for the international congress that took place in Nuremburg in august 69

  For you information: the green one was named in German Lieder zum Preise Jehovas in English songs for the praise of Jehovah. It had 91 songs.

  The song 91 was played in Sweden when Olof Palme was buried after his assassination and the song 11 was written in the concentration camp, it is today in the new book too, but shortendend. Thats all I know.

  But I know that the brothers missed some songs

  it is a drama with the WTS. There was a time where high education was banned and people with that level had no chance to climb the ladder of the carrier in the cong.

  Some yeears ago WTS demonstrated everywhere that they are in accordance to the world as they longed for the public aceptance as church ( eg in Germany)

  so they threw on their DCs in demonstrations a lot of young people, all with high shcool level, to show that the doctrine is not against bettereducation.

  When you read the WT from the WT study today you can read in the study article that JW parents also take care for a good education fior their children.

  And we need in a globalizing world better chances for our children - even when Armageddon is at hand.

  who does know when and how will someone take care for his family, being present in all meetings and have enough income to visit congresses?

  All they want from you is gtto make the impossible possible.

  The bible itsself explains the correct date. Please read the posting from Honesty again.

  It is the matter, that thsi fact, Zechariah chapter 7, cannot be thrown from the desk.

  WE read there about the 70 years in regard to the assassination of Gedaliah, demonstrated by fastening.

  So we recognize: The bible itsself gives us clear information. For what should we use any studied head - in regard to the latest district convention is high education nothing for us in the high time of the end.

  So my invitation: dont make such people a desk where they sell their books to get their earnings.

  But when they awake they will notify that it was a nightmare and they are nothing more than people who know how to beat brethren.

  what jesus never had facial hair?

  i remember hearing comments like " yes he's a lovely bro, but he'll not be used by the cong because he needs to shave his beard".

  When you have the opportunity to get the old book "30 years slave " from William Schnell you will read that Schnell who was a German American and came back to Germany working in the former magdeburg Bethel where he reports that Rutherford came in the 20ies to visit the office.

  It was the branch officer Balzereit - a guy Rutherford later send into desert and accused him falsely to have falsified the letter to Hitler - who had a beard liek Russell. but as Rutherford did not much like Russell he denied him certain investments. But Rutherford gave the utterance that Balzereit without beard would have better chances.

  Schnell reports that half an hour later Balzereit surprised Rutherford totally shaved, having no kind of beard any more and has got then what he wanted.

  This Rutherford gthinking seems to be still present. And "beard-off" still is a test, if the candidate is obedient to the orders from above.

  They in the ivory tower or in their branche offices dont need people who use their own brain. they make people repeating the stuff they get from above without using conscience and mind.

  The best example for that is the experience that in Germany and Luxemburg there was the valid practice that COs ordered the BoE to bring parents of molested children before a JC when they have gon to the court.

  After the last elder school this is no more valid. The elders were not explained why the change. they had to eat it and to shut up.

  Thats WT policy: no argument but obedience, a behavior to be compared with Narciss who did like himself so much that he lost reality.

  they dont need. As they are sitting on a place where they dont belong thaey have much power in that way that the simple JW accepts everything that stems from them.

  and they have learned by history eg. The order "Socitey of Jesus" (Jesuits have too a governing body) or Macchiavelli ( his works tell how to eliminate peoples).

  but in regard to their apporach they use typical marketing concepts since the times of the judge.
